“The Blue Ball Inn is a traditional unspoilt multi roomed pub. There is a wide selection of beers, lager and cider, including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition on our visit. The staff are very friendly and the pub is regularly featured in the camra good beer guide. A visit is highly recommended.”

“This is the best pub, the best beer and the best food in Malton. This pub should be the food capital as the rest of Malton is pedestrian and slightly snobby at time, though I fail to see why?) apart from monthly markets which are great. I see someone turned up late for food. What a shame. Even kitchen staff have to have a break. Turn up on time and you will not be disappointed. Please don't expect haut cuisine but by God it is good. This is good much more than basic substantial food from Yorkshire.”
